Breaking Point

You know what? I think I finally found a reality show this season that I think I don't want to watch anymore. You guessed it. It's The Bachelor.

Last night's show was utterly stupid. Usually I can keep watching The Bachelor because of two reasons: the "hotness" factor and at least a couple of the girls actually have personalities. This season, I'm down to one reason for watching and I can't take it anymore. Brad's a hot hunk of man all right but but the women that are competing for him? I'd rather stare at a brick of sharp cheddar cheese for an hour. Hell, I'd rather be sprayed in the face with pepper spray repeatedly for an hour.

Might I watch at least the finale to find out who he proposes to? Possibly. Will I recap the finale here on Silly Reality? Perhaps. Will I watch any of the shows until the finale? Not likely.

So I apologize to all of you aspiring bachelorettes and, perhaps, bachelors out there and beg your forgiveness. I just can't do TB anymore - at least not this season.

I'll be replacing The Bachelor with another show quick enough though. The Amazing Race begins Sunday, November 4th, and I absolutely can't wait! How many of you are fans of TAR?

*big grin*

How much do you really like any of the girls on this season's The Bachelor? Last night's show was just blah for me.

I get it. He wants to get married and have babies ASAP. The girls all know the quickest way to his heart is to say they want to get married and have little Bradsters too. I don't find many of them have very charming personalities - at least ones that come through the screen. I haven't been able to really get behind any of them and support them. What about you?

I'm definitely glad that Jade got the boot on her 2-on-1 date though. I found that absolutely hilarious! Little miss 'thinks she's all that' was so sure she'd do better than DeAnna. Boy was she wrong! DeAnna had all the right answers and Jade came across as a bump on a log. I also loved the way the girls back at the house found out Jade had been eliminated. How absolutely deliciously scandalous!

What was up with all of those couches last night? A couch on the top of the building for Brad and Jenni's 1-on-1 date. A couch on the building (or on a terrace?) for his double date. I wonder why there wasn't a couch onstage at the comedy club. The girls could have made like they were making out with him. But wait, most of them have already.

Another thing that got on my nerves about last night's show (back to the couches) was the lack of wind. I've been on top of buildings before - big buildings. There was wind. There was at least enough wind to mess up my hair. Last night? No wind.

I was glad that McCarten and Stephy were also eliminated. McCarten was boring and Stephy was all about the drama. I just wish Sheena hadn't gotten a rose either. I hope she goes next week along with....

Hillary! Did you see the previews for next week? Wowza! Sheena falling. Teehee!

So what did you think about last night's Bachelor? Which of the girls is your favorite?

Big Dates

Last night's The Bachelor was just ho-hum I thought. Is it just me or are these girls boring? Perhaps it just seems like that because we haven't really gotten to know any of them yet. And while Brad is F-I-N-E he seems rather boring because he's so sweet. That would be a good thing for me in my life (hehehe) but I don't think it's a good thing for a show like this. But let's get on with it....

The Hunkster is down to twelve ladies but will only be handing out nine roses tonight. (It sure does seem like they're getting rid of the women rather quickly this season.) He'll be living it up in two group dates and a single one-on-one date. Also, he'll be handing one lady a rose in each of the group dates and has the option of giving the lady he selects for the one-on-one date a rose as well. If he doesn't give the lady in the one-on-one date a rose, she'll have to leave the show immediately. Harsh but cool.

For the first group date, Hunky McHunkman chose Stephy, McCarten, Jenni, Lindsey, Sarah, and Deanna to accompany him. Where to? Why the circus of course! It seemed like a cute date and everybody seemed to have a good time. They all were even able to participate in the circus itself. Jenni (the girl he got the first kiss last week) and Hunkmonster were able to spend a little bit of alone time before the circus and I thought she was kinda pushing things by asking him about long distance relationships because she can't leave Phoenix where she's a dancer and - deep breath - that she wants to be the first girl he falls in love with. Hmmm. Stephy was also able to get a little alone time but it was so memorable I forgot what happened. He also spent a little bit of time with McCarten wondering if she felt the friend vibe or something more for him. Of course she said something more. Duh. And guess who was chosen to receive a rose in front of the whole audience? Stephy was. That was unexpected.

Back at the house, one lucky girl found out that she will be the one to go on the one-on-one date with The Hunkmeister. Here's a hint - she's blonde. Okay I'll tell you. It was Hillary. She is beyond excited and the other girls were, well, jealous. I don't know if they were more jealous that she got to go on an alone date with Mr. Hunky or that she wore a million dollar necklace. Probably the necklace. They had a good time in San Francisco over dinner and a desert trip to Ghirardelli Square for chocolate sundaes. She was a little too over-emotional (cry much?) I thought but he appreciated seeing that side of her. And of course he gave her a rose. He couldn't be a meanie and send her home now could he? Oh, and they sucked a little face.

The other group of group of girls received news about their group date with Hunky Brad. They're going sailing! Solisa was beyond excited. She was still so excited on the boat that she gave him a lap dance! It was quite funny when she said the only move she had was shaking her butt. Hehehe. Sheena & Hunky Dunky got in trouble with the Coast Guard while jetskiing. Then Bettina tells the camera later that she fell in love with Running Out Of Hunk Names on a wave runner. And that was before she even told him about her previous marriage and divorce! The dude was shocked and didn't expect that a woman such as herself had already been married. Um Earth calling Brad. She's 27. Not 18. In the end, he decided to give a rose to Kristy because he loved her fun side - whichever side that is.

Finally, it's time for the twist or er pre-ceremony talks. Brad's married twin brother, Chad, is there to shake the girls down while pretending to be Brad and see if any of them can tell that he's not Brad. Meanwhile, Brad is watching all of this. Weird. Some of the girls picked up on it immediately (Sheena, Kristy, and Stephy for example), some of them thought something was up but couldn't quite put their finger on it (Sarah and McCarten), and then there was Lindsey who had no clue.

Because of the three roses handed out before this rose ceremony, Hunkyman only has six roses to give out. Remember that Stephy, Hillary, and Kristy already received their roses so they're safe. He gave his roses to Sheena, McCarten, Jenni, Jade, Deanna, and Bettina.

No roses for Sarah, Solisa, and Lindsey. Their closing remarks to the camera were amusing. Sarah said the twin thing threw her off. Solisa said that she wears the special parts of herself on the outside. Oh-em-gee. And poor Lindsey thought they had a connection and walks off to cry after saying she doesn't want to cry. One of the girls (Lindsey I think?) said that McNasty & McStanky can have him. LMAO!

What did you think about the show? Any favorite parts? Any suggestions on Hunk names?

Minus one fallen star, last night's Dancing With the Stars was a show chock full of improved dancing and commercial breaks.

First up was Mel B (Scary Spice) and her partner Maks (hot hot). They took on the quick step and scored one point lower from the judges this week over last week's cha cha. They did fairly well and they received a combined score from the judges of 23 out of 30. Mark Cuban and Kym were up next with the mambo. I thought he was trying much harder this week but they only squeezed sixes out of the judges receiving an 18 out of 30.

Wayne Newton and Cheryl were next up on the dance floor with their quick step. They danced to a version of Elvis' 'Viva Las Vegas'. While not being the weirdest musical choice of the night, why did Wayne lip sync the entire song while he was dancing? Strange. They received triple 5s for a 15 out of 30. Marie Osmond and her partner Jonathan really stepped things up this week with their mambo. I didn't like Marie last week but I have to hand it to her this week. They did a great job and received triple 8s for a 24 out of 30.

Albert and Anna quick stepped to '99 Red Balloons' and didn't do quite as well as last week. The judges missed his personality and scored them triple 7s for a 21 out of 30. Helio and Julianne were next with their mambo. Wow! You would have thought they'd been dancing forever because they were so great as dancing partners. The judges loved them and gave them triple 9s for a 27 out of 30.

Jennie and Derek did the quick step and she just still looked so uncomfortable out there on the dance floor. Uncomfortable as in afraid to really get close to him. It didn't make her look any better that in her pre-dance clip she's shown laughing at Derek because she can't view him as a manly man. It made me laugh a little on the inside then when Derek missed catching her at the end because of her dress and she fell. Boy was she pissed. I could almost see steam coming out of her ears when they were standing in front of the judges. They didn't score as bad as they could have though. They received triple 7s for a 21 out of 30.

Cameron and Edyta were up next with their mambo. I really liked Edyta's dress and thought they did a very pretty but very sexy dance. The judges didn't like it as much as I did though and gave out yet another triple 7 score. Floyd and Karina were next with their quick step and were kinda stiff. The judges gave them another triple 7 score.

Jane and Tony danced their mambo next. I thought it was good but extremely boring. The judges thought it was boring too and gave them another triple 7 for a 21 out of 30. The last dance of the night belonged to Sabrina and Mark. Their quick step was very nice. It was classy and snappy with nary a hip-hop move included. The judges loved it and scored them the second highest score of the night with a 9-8-9 for a 26 out of 30.

I really like Wayne but it's his time to go tonight. It will probably be between Wayne and Mark Cuban going home to their mansions. The results show is tonight on ABC at 9:00 PM ET.

Does anybody else think that Brad, The Bachelor was hotter this week than the last? Anyway, last night the girls (except for one) went on their first group dates with Brad. In each group date Brad would be giving one lucky lady a rose giving them the chance to stick around for another round.

The first group of ladies went to the horse races. How fun. In the middle of the horse date, Brad received a call from Michele who was back at the house waiting for the next date. Poor thing. She'd fallen down the stairs and received a slight concussion. You would have thought she'd at least have a broken bone or something the way they acted on the show. Ambulance, back board, neck brace, strapped in so she couldn't move. Puhlease. Back to the races.

I literally laughed out loud when, after that kinda kiss with McCarten, Brad confessed "it wasn't very good." Ahhh, DeAnna gets Brad's rose. How romantic.

Back at the mansion, after a short and awkward conversation with the concussed Michele, Brad and the other group of girls took off for their beach date in Malibu. Stephy practically stripped Brad's shirt off. Solisa had Brad take body shots off of her. Jenni kissed Brad - a lot! Back at the house, the girls go on the hunt for Jenni's modeling portfolio. They found it and thumbed through it remarking how somebody would only bring that if they were there to advance their career. Very snarky girls! Snarky indeed.

Back at the beach, Brad gives Sarah the rose and Jenni's broken-hearted about it. I guess all of her smooching didn't do her much good after all? Later in the evening, Solisa takes her top off and goes for a dip in the ocean only to find that Brad stayed behind in the hot tub. That was funny!

It's time for the rose ceremony. He has 10 roses to hand out. DeAnna and Sarah are staying because they had received their rose already on their group dates. Three ladies are leaving. See ya Michele, Erin, and Mallory!

Oh, hope your head feels better Michele!

Have a female favorite yet in Dancing With the Stars? I do! Actually, I have two.

I really like Sabrina. Her and her partner got ragged on for too much hip-hop in their cha-cha last night yet they still walked away with the highest scores of the evening. Sabrina is one of the Cheetah Girls. I've never watched that show(?) but I've heard of it and know it's a big hit with the tweens. She'll have those votes for as long as she's on the show.

My other favorite is Josie Maran. She's a model that I've never heard of but seems to really be having a fun time on the show. Her and her partner received the lowest scores last night with their foxtrot so I hope she doesn't leave the show on Wednesday evening. I personally thought Marie Osmond was rather boring last night and Jennie Garth's performance was just okay.

Tonight, the guys dance and that's always a hoot to watch. I'm really pulling for Mark Cuban and Floyd Mayweather. Oh, and Cameron is hot.

Speaking of hot, I had to lower the thermostat in my humble abode last night when The Bachelor began. Crikey! Brad Womack is hot hot hot!

Of course, some of the girls had a teensy bit too much to drink and made complete fools of themselves. Besides that, none of the girls really made too much of a favorable impression on me. I'm going to have to watch them for a couple/few more weeks to determine who my favorite is.

And guess what? Brad has a twin named Chad who is every bit as hot as he is. It seems Chad will have a little role to play at some point this season by replacing his brother. Hmmm. Anybody know what the deal is with their dad?

Coming up in reality tonight is a two-hour The Biggest Loser which starts at 8:00 PM ET on NBC, a new episode of Beauty and the Geek at 8:00 PM ET on The CW, and another ninety-minute Dancing With the Stars (guy's night) also beginning at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.

My DVR is gonna get a workout tonight!

Tonight, two of my favorite reality shows begin. Dancing With the Stars premieres tonight at 8:00 ET/PT on ABC and The Bachelor follows it at 9:30 ET/PT on ABC as well.

I like watching DWTS because, well, I plain wish I could dance like that! On DWTS tonight, we'll watch the women and their professional partners shake it up on the dance floor. Tomorrow night, the men take the floor. Finally on Wednesday evening, one of the pairs will be eliminated at the end of the results show. Three nights is a little overkill if you ask me. I'd much rather they shorten the routines so that everybody can dance tonight instead of spreading the numbers over two nights.

I love watching TB because of its cheesiness. How can you not like a show where most of the women fall in love with a guy they hardly know and make fools of themselves on national television? I particularly love it when they leave in tears because they weren't chosen. *note to self - find out when Flavor of Love starts*

I don't know how many of you watch the Discovery channel but I kept seeing commercials this weekend for a new show they have starting Thursday, October 4th, called Last One Standing. Ladies, I highly recommend you check out the video there for some nice male hotness. According to this article, "six athletes as they travel the world to compete in various tribal sports with ritual significance". This is a show I will definitely watch. I may not be able to watch it live but it will definitely be on the DVR for my enjoyment at a later time.

Speaking of, I finally watched America's Next Top Model last night when it was replayed on The CW. Like always, Tyra starts with a big group of girls and narrows it down to the ones who will be competing for the contract and layout. Overall, it's an OK group of girls. After just this one episode my two favorites are Jenah and Janet (bikini wax girl). There seems to be lots o' drama going down this season (as in every season) and I can't wait. I can't wait for some of these girls to get their makeovers (Lisa and Bianca especially) and can't wait for the competition to really begin.

And wrapping up with some Big Brother news, Amber gave an interview with the folks over at BuddyTV a few days ago and all I can say is 'Wowza'. That girl is truly delusional. Read it and judge for yourselves here.

What are you going to be watching tonight? What do you think about Last One Standing?
