The Mole
I have a quick question for those of you reading on here and would love for you to perhaps point me straight.
What is up with The Mole? I understand the basics of the show from watching it the first time it aired way back when but I never really liked it. To be honest, I probably only watched three or four episodes before I gave up on it. And that was after leaving the fine Anderson Cooper in the dust. I definitely didn't watch any of the celebrity editions that came after that.
Why would I want to watch this show now in its current state? I love The Amazing Race but The Mole seems like it would be cheesy especially when you combine the saboteur angle with it all.
Somebody? Anybody? If you're a fan of this show please tell me why I should be watching it.

I agree with you, I have tried watching this show a few times and realy could not get into it and I like you am reality show junkie, I watch them all. I would like for someone to tell me why I should watch because I can not find a reason. thanks for all you do really enjoy reading your comments.
exactly lol! I think I would like the show if they told us who the mole was before hand so we could watch how they do what they do. But I have no desire to try and figure it out.
HD
I like the mole. I am not sure why...lol.
I enjoy trying to figure out who is the mole and see who comes up with the answer on the show. It has been so long since it was last on I am not sure if I clearly remember watching it last. LOL
This is the first Mole episode that I've watched. I liked it. Lots of different players and distrust among everyone. The last episode's comps were over the top (jumping off the waterfall) and revealing (finding relics). I enjoyed the show and hope things continue to be so fun to watch.
Just wish they had live feeds too!!
Hi HD,
The Mole wasn't a show that caught my interest in the past, and have no desire to try again at this point. Besides the weather is getting nice, have to give up some of my Reality addition shows, this is an easy one!
I really like the Mole in the first season.
I liked the second season, but the IDIOTS at Disney insisted on putting on Friday nights so of course it got bad ratings. Then they re-aired the first few episodes and finished the season later that year... which I think wrecked what few viewers they had.
I didn't watch the celebrity versions... yawn.
I was exicted to see another season of 'regular' Mole, but it has been kinda boring so far.
I will say that Dick Donato is no longer my most hated reality TV contestant of all time. This season of the Mole has persented me with a new person to hate: "Dr" Nicole Williams. She is such a bitch and a perfect example of what affirmative action has done to this country.
I agree with Shawn. If they told us before-hand who was the Mole... so we could be "in on it"... then it might be better.
That said... I cant help myself.... distrust among strangers, sabotage, backstabbing, fighting.... I've got to watch!
I really like the mole. I've only gotten around to watching the first episode so far this season, though, because I'm trying to keep up with 2 different Big Brothers now, both of which (AU and UK) have shows every day.
The thing I like about it is the guesswork, and how some people play strategies. While some of the tasks are kind of lame, I like the mind games they play, when they offer immunity to someone who betrays the group. I find some of the tasks entertaining. So, I really like the show, but will probably just watch it online.
I loved the first 2 seasons of The Mole.
Then they did Celebrity Mole and it was all down hill.
It's a cross between Survivor, the Amazing Race and in a who dunit weekend trip.
You get all the fun of watching silly competitions, the drama of backstabbing in fighting and hooking up and then you are also invited to participate. See if you can find the hidden clues. Many episodes have clues that are geared to tell us who the Mole is. Add them up and you just might guess. Or perhaps the very person you have pegged as the Mole gets eliminated and leaves you at sea again.
In the end you have 3 people - 1 is the Mole. Can the other 2 figure out wich it is? Can we?
Misdirection is every where. Players will do things that make them appear to be the Mole and cause their competition to answer incorrectly on quizes - sending them home. The really great thing about this for the competitor is this:
Imagine HD that you are not the Mole but want others to believe you are. You convince 3 people of this. None of them trust each other. All of them answer most questions saying you are the Mole. Only 1 goes home. 2 are safe after saying they believe it is you. Those 2 have no idea what the person who went home said. So, in the next quiz who are they likely to still think is the Mole? And that can leave you safe for more than one round.
Oh, but you really have to balance it. The best way to make someone think you could be the Mole is to stop others from earning $$ for the pot. But if you expect to win then that is money you just took out of your own winnings.
Who has the guts, the brains or the just plain luck to go all the way?
And darn it - who is that MOLE! Can I find them before they are revealed? At the end when they show me all the clues I missed will I be smacking my forhead or nodding knowingly?
Very few games invite the viewers to play along.
There are a lot of things that this show could and should do better. But I still watch. I want to know who done it.
