Dancing With The Stars: Shimmery Arm Brace And All
What a fantastic Dancing With The Stars last night! Each of the remaining five couples had to perform one ballroom dance and one Latin dance. All of their outfits were fantastic and, for the most part, their dances were as well. They should be considering the semi-finals are only one week away!
Kristi & Mark opened the show with a light and lovely quickstep that received rave reviews from the judges and a score of 29 out of 30. Their second dance, a samba, was not as fantastic however. Yes, it was still good. Yes, Kristi has come a long way when it comes to loosening up. But the judges found it awkward and out of control. That's kinda funny considering how out of control Carrie Ann's nipples were last night. Woman, put something on top of those things when you wear that kind of shirt! Kristi & Mark received only a 26 for their second dance and wound up with a total score of 55 for the night.
Mario & Karina's first dance was a Viennese waltz. I thought it was very romantic and elegant as did the judges. I almost spit my drink out though when Len told Mario his elegance usually reminds him of Britney Spears getting out of a car. Thank goodness there was none of that last night! After a score of 27 in their first dance, Mario & Karina busted out a so-so jive. Pardon me but is the jive really considered a Latin dance? That just doesn't seem right. Regardless, they scored a 26 for their jive and finished the night with a combined score of 53.
Where do I begin with Marissa and Tony? Their first dance, a foxtrot, was absolutely wonderful. She looked gorgeous and extremely happy on the dance floor. The judges didn't think it was so wonderful though and only gave them a 25. The mambo was their second dance and it just didn't do it for me and I was curious why they ended the dance with the same ice skating spinning move that Kristi & Mark ended their samba with. The judges were unimpressed as well and gave them another 25 for a combined score of 50 for the night.
Jason & Edyta's first dance was a tango that was utterly superb. Sexy, sharp, and fantastic are only a few of the adjectives that come to mind. Len's underwear must have been in a bunch though and was responsible for their only scoring a 29 out of 30. The couple's second dance was a samba that was nowhere near as good as their tango. The judges criticized him for keeping his head down during most of the dance and told the couple that they were lagging throughout. After a low score of 23, they finished with a 52 for the evening.
Cristian & Cheryl had their work cut out for them this week. His doctor gave him the OK to continue dancing but warned him to keep pressure off of his bicep. That left Cheryl having to choreograph around his injured left arm. But she did a fantastic job! Their first dance was a tango and it was great. The judges told them they had to base their scores off of what they saw of them on the dance floor and gave them a 28 out of 30. Gotcha! Cristian & Cheryl's second dance was a mambo that was even better than their first dance. It was sexy, full of energy, and he even pulled off a lift at the end. The shimmery arm brace he was wearing received rave reviews as well. They scored a 29 for their mambo (Cristian could barely contain his excitement) and wound up with the highest score of the evening -- a 57 out of 60.
I have a feeling I know who will be going home this week. Unfortunately for Marissa & Tony, I believe their time on the show will draw to a close tonight. After being in the bottom two last week and having lackluster scores last night, I just don't see them going on for another week.
Tonight's block of Dancing With The Stars will be a two-hour one. The first hour begins at 8:00 PM ET and will be a celebration of the show's 100th episode. The judges will count down their top ten dances in the show's history and more than 30 stars will be returning including Apolo Anton Ono. Also, Julianne Hough will be back to dance as well as Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The second hour of the show tonight will be the results portion and include a performance by Rascall Flatts. It's going to be a great evening tonight for all of us Dancing With The Stars fans!

I agree Cheryl did a fantastic job. Cristian did well, no doubt about it, but to watch them you wouldn't have guessed his arm was so injured.
I'm up awaiting the final results of the Indiana primary, so figured I'd check in here. Marisa was saved i am sure because of her making sure everyone knew that she was diagnosed with cancer 7 weeks ago. Has she talked about this previously because this is the first i have heard of it. My sister is struggling with cancer right now and I did not like Marissa broadcasting that. I feel like everything she does she is screaming and crying and begging for votes and it seems to be working. But personally, I think she's a little grotesque and I am tired of her open mouth gacks and screams for votes. Oy, was I severe just now or what?
