The Biggest Loser: Me Saw Seesaw

|

They didn't keep us waiting for long to find out how Bob and Jillian would be coupled on this week's The Biggest Loser: Couples did they? Forget about each team choosing their trainer or getting stuck with one they didn't want: All of them would be trained by both trainers now. That seemed to have been met with mixed emotion. The ones that didn't like it as much were the ones that had chosen Bob and I found that hilarious!

Their first workout with both trainers was incredibly intense. Poor Bette-Sue actually slip-slided off her treadmill and wound up on her face. It looked like it really hurt but she got up and finished the workout. Good for her! After the workout, Alison met with them inside and told them that they would have to confront the Hall of Truth tonight. Basically, each team was sent into a room where they had to listen to a pre-show video of themselves carry on about how much and what they liked to eat. As their video played, different facts (calories, fat grams, yearly weight gain from eating that food, etc) about those foods would display on the screen. It shocked all of them but it especially shocked the brown team of Curtis & Mallory. They began crying from the experience and vowed to get healthy.

At a workout the next day, Neill was lollygagging around and working out nowhere near the level of his wife Amanda. Jillian came in and called him out on it. She told him that he would have to walk one hour on the treadmill or nobody else would get to leave the gym. He balked and said he was tired but finally got his ass in gear.

Later, it was time for a challenge that would involve the winner getting a couple of calling cards that would allow them to call home. Each team had to sit on a giant steel seesaw and seesaw up and down 100 times. The team that did it the fastest won the calling cards. Almost as soon as the challenge started, Trent (gray team) dropped out because of his knee. The black team (the brothers) took an early lead and never gave it up. They won again! The blue (strangers) and brown teams were close and decided to keep going to get their 100 anyway. By the way, the white team with lazy Neill only had 72.

Alison then told the brothers that in addition to winning calling cards for themselves, they could award three more sets of cards to whichever teams they wanted. Later, they decided to choose Trent & Roger (gray team) along with Curtis & Mallory (brown) and Amanda & Neill (white). They basically chose based on who had kids which I thought was kind of lame. I was hoping they would have chosen based on who worked the hardest in the challenge.

After the challenge it was back to the gym for another workout. Lazy Neill wanted to stop in the middle of his workout and use his calling card. This caused Jillian to get upset at him (yet again) and they wound up taking it outside this time. He told her that he didn't expect to have to do all of this for the show and she told him that thousands of people would love to be in his shoes and to basically suck it up. He then gathered his bollocks and went back to working out.

Next, we saw the sappy "phone home" segment. You gotta wonder who was making these little children say the things they said and most of the calls were awfully stilted (due to editing I'm sure). At least Neill seemed to have changed his attitude after his call home. I wonder how long that will last!

It was then time for a temptation challenge. Alison asked the teams to split up and go into separate rooms. Each room was told that each person would have four minutes to eat as much of the feast that had been placed outside as they wanted. They didn't have to eat anything though. What's the payoff? The team (that's now divided) that eats the most calories wins $5,000. The people in the first room went out and sniffed at all of the food but didn't eat a single thing. Room two was a different story. Paul (yellow team) told them that he still had 1,000 extra calories for the day and that he'd be eating -- and he did. That caused Mark (black team) to decide to eat also and even Mallory (brown team) chose to eat a little thing of chocolate candies.

When the partners were reunited, Alison revealed who ate and how much calories they consumed. Mallory's candies were worth 210 calories, Paul ate 912 calories worth, and Mark ate 925 calories worth. The black team won the $5,000. Paul ate all of them calories for nothing! Needless to say, Kelly wasn't every happy with him. And when Bob and Jillian found out about the three of them eating? They weren't very happy trainers.

At the weigh-in, Alison told the couples that the elimination this week would take place again within one hour. (I hope they keep that up in future seasons!) The weight loss and percentage was: Roger & Trent (gray) lost 9 pounds (1.20%); Bernie & Brittany (blue) lost 6 pounds (1.26%); Paul & Kelly (yellow) lost 4 pounds (0.74%); Jay & Mark (black) lost 12 pounds (2.19%); and Maggie & Jenn (purple) lost 4 pounds (0.85%). Bette-Sue & Ali (pink) lost 9 pounds (1.96%); Dan & Jackie (orange) lost 16 pounds (3.10%); Curtis & Mallory (brown) lost 2 pounds (0.36%); and Neill & Amanda (white) lost 6 pounds (1.21%). It would be either the yellow or the brown team going home since they lost the least percentage of weight.

Voting turned out to be a nailbiter. Yellow, brown, yellow, yellow, brown, brown, brown! Awww, Mallory & Curtis are the team voted out. That sucks because I really liked them but it's also good because I like the yellow team more. Curtis wished everybody the best and said they'd continue their work back at home.

And they have! Curtis has lost 58 pounds since leaving the show and Mallory has lost 20. They're working out and eating healthy and looking really good! I can't wait to see them at the finale.

Next week, the disappointing weigh-ins of tonight will put relationships to the test and the mother/daughter team (pink) get a second chance at their relationship. Hmmmm.

So what did you think about this week's episode? I seriously would have loved to see the white team go home (sorry Amanda) instead of the brown team. I hope Neill and his lazy ass goes home soon!
