Survivor: Just Don't Eat The Apple
Ni hao! This week's episode of Survivor began with James telling us he'll have his immunity idols with him at tribal council from now on. Good boy! James then went and yelled at everybody to wake up. He was just being funny though by channeling the now booted Jean-Robert. Courtney woke up saying it was like Christmas because Jean-Robert wasn't there. It was actually cute the way she said it because she reminded me of a little girl. Later, Denise told James she was upset about being blindsided at the last tribal council. She feels like she got stabbed in the back (you were Denise) but James tried to make her feel better by telling her that she's safe.
The tree mail they received at Hae Da Fung the next day came with a present -- a drum! The message read of an experience of a lifetime in a magical place where they could feed their soul and also feed their face. They would have to divide to conquer and had better be on the ball. If they could drum up some enthusiasm, they just might win it all. Of course, that means it's time for a reward challenge.
They would be split into two teams of four and would have to navigate through an obstacle course while keeping a bouncing ball in the air using drums that were strapped to them. The first team to get to the finish line and get three balls in their bin would win a spectacular overnight cruise on the Li River. Peih-Gee and Erik were randomly chosen as team captains and the teams were chosen by schoolyard pick again. The red team came to consist of Peih-Gee, James, Todd, and Denise. The yellow team was made up by Erik, Frosti, Amanda, and Courtney.
It looked like a really difficult challenge to me but the yellow team had hardly any problems winning and left to go on their cruise. Back at the Hae Da Fung camp, Peih-Gee was mad that they lost and got James all stirred up when she said she didn't give up on the challenge. James was having a hard time believing her and who could blame him? She did throw the reward challenge previously with him.
On the cruise, the reward winners were enjoying mimosas while flirting with each other. Frosti was rubbing Courtney's back while Amanda was giggling at every little thing Erik said. Erik didn't just flirt with Amanda though. He was also flirting with the goats onshore. He makes fabulous goat sounds! For dinner, they had a wonderful meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and rolls. When they returned to camp the next day and Todd was interrogating them about their cruise, they lied about having the meal they did and said they had Chinese food like in that other reward. And seriously, could they blur out Amanda's butt any more? I'm really curious as to how much she could possibly exposing.
The immunity challenge consisted of a memory test but before they began, Jeff offered up some temptation to those who felt they didn't need to win immunity. If anybody wanted to, they could sit out the competition and eat cheeseburgers and fries instead. Courtney, Todd, Denise, and James decided to fill their bellies so only Peih-Gee, Frosti, Amanda, and Erik would be playing for immunity. Luckily for Peih-Gee she won immunity. She would have probably been the next one leaving if she hadn't.
Back at camp, Frosti was frustrated that James, Courtney, Todd, and Denise decided to eat. Couldn't they wait 12 days for that? Frosti and Erik both know that it will probably be one of them leaving at tribal council so Frosti got to work trying to swing things in his direction. He tells Todd that Erik's smooth with the girls and everybody loves him. It doesn't quite work though as Todd is more worried about the little relationship going on between Frosti and Courtney. He starts up the "Vote out Frosti" campaign immediately.
And so it happens -- Frosti was voted out by a vote of 5-1. Courtney gave him a big hug on the way out and Frosti begins the lonely walk to a hot shower and big fat dinner. Jeff tells the others that there are 12 days left and that they should realize they have to adapt moment to moment. He's going to test that right now. They're confused and so am I. They're not going back to camp just yet. They have more business to attend to with Jeffypoo. And roll credits.
Next time on Survivor: injuries take their toll (Peih-Gee's complaining about her knees), James is fed up (he's working so much), and Todd takes a stand. Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait until November 29th to find out what in the world happens after tribal council. I don't want to wait that long!
So what did you think about this week's Survivor? Were you fine with Frosti going home? What kind of business do you think Jeff needs to take care of with them?

I am getting fed up with Todd and P-G too. And did you catch Courtney's little nyah-nyah-nyah look she gave J-R when the jury came in at Tribal Council?
I have one other thing to vent about -- Jeff Probst's attitude towards players who don't play according to the Probst standard. Specifically, his berating James for taking food instead of "playing the game." Hey, Jeff! How is it not playing the game to take an option that you offered???? Looks to me that "not playing the game" worked out wonderfully for James. He got to scarf seven delicious burgers, he did not have to spend even one of his two precious hidden immunity idols, and he did not get a single vote, so suck it Jeff!
I wonder if it is like a challege at the vote out place? I have not seen someone control the game like Todd does in along time on survivor. I dont really like him but I love how he is playing this game so far.
Wow, James is getting awfully mouthy lately. Yes, I know he has two immunity idols (although I think it's pretty crummy he didn't offer the one back to Todd), and I know he is physically so much stronger than anyone else left. But he has yet in 3 tries to win individual immunity, and he really tanked at the reward challege last night, so he's not exactly in a shoo-in position.
Courtney's growing on me. She's more fun now and less of a whiny twit. Maybe she made friends with the editors :)
I'm kind of sorry to see Frosti go, but I don't think he had what it takes to get to the end game, so I guess it was bound to happen.
Hmmm. Could it be that Amanda has some type of brand name, advertisement etc on her caboose and that is why she's being censored?
Still don't care for Courtney. I would have kept Frosti over her and had her sit next to JR on the Jury bench.
Yea!! Hang in there Erik, momma's coming.
Smart choice James. Take the food. I don't think James could have won that challenge on a dare. I don't think Jeff likes that one person has both idols.
Why does Todd have so much power? Maybe everyone else fear the "kiss of death" leader role.
Could there be a double elimination waiting for the guests? Oops, thats another show.
I hated to see Frosti go but it was inevitable. He was right when he said that Erik and his charm was a danger.
The thing that really drives me crazy is that no one seems to see Courtney as a threat. I think her performance on the barrel should have warned them all that she will do very well on the pole standing challenge that they always have toward the end. I hope she doesn't just slip through and win by being invisible.
I love James still and I hate Todd but have to admire his ability to manipulate the game. The others are totally disposable to me although I would like to see Denise get to the final three because I feel sorry for her.
I noticed that Courtney and Lunch Lady were not in the previews for next week. Do we think one or both got the ax at the "we have more business?"
Meanwhile, you said it Grey, Jiffy Popst, aka Jeff Probst is an asshole to the word go. He is always so condescending to the contestants. If I were on the show I'd tell him to shampoo my crotch.
I was sad to see Frosti go. He was the real threat at immunity challenges, not James. If you'll notice, most of the individual immunity challenges don't require brute strength. I have to say that I was starting to like Eric in this episode. What a tease he is!
I agree that James is getting too mouthy for my taste. What I would like to see next week, is one of those reward challenges where the top two get to go, and have it be James and PG! On the other hand, PG has a lot of nerve to confront James about the challenges. I'm sure he still remembers what happened to Aaron. I'm surprised nobodies considered getting rid of Todd or Amanda yet. They really are dominating this game.
Yeah, I noticed the Amanda butt blur too. Shes wearing boyshorts, its not like her butt is showing in every single shot.
Lindabrownsista must be right, maybe there is a logo on there like "Juicy" or something, but wouldnt you have thought the producers would have nixed that outfit before the show started then?
Todd seems to be so level headed and strategic about campaigning who to vote out, until something gets to him emotionally and then he snaps at the last minute and votes and campaigns people to vote irrationally based upon his emotions.
I think he needs to take the emotion out of the game, bc that will be his downfall.
(ie changing everyone to vote for JR vs James last time is just 1 example)
Courtney is probably the one in the game now, that everyone is going want to go up against in the finale.
JR is 1 vote on the jury for sure against her.
And it doesnt seem like many ppl like her very much, even Frosti is prob pissed at her now after last night.
Frosti's goodbye speech was great.
He got beat by a "gay flight attendant, a skinny NY waitress, and a lady with a mullet"
Loved it!!
I don't understand why Jeff was so surprised why James sits out the challenge. He has two immunity idols! I'm not sure all of the players know that, but Jeff sure does. If James really thought he might be eliminated, he would probably just go for the immunity idol.
I was impressed that Amanda didn't opt for the food. She didn't have any reason to believe her head was on the chopping block, but she choose to compete anyway. (Of course having fried chicken and mashed potatoes the day before certainly helped, I'm sure) That's part of what makes her a good player.
