We Can Do It In...
If you haven't been keeping up with NBC's The Biggest Loser, you've been missing out. Tonight's show was the best of the season so far.
The show started out tonight with a temptation for the trainers. Nice! Each trainer had four cupcakes and among those twelve cupcakes was a special one that gave their respective team a 15 second advantage in the upcoming challenge. But of course, the trainers were 'good' and declined the sweetness. I just know Bob snarfed one of those cupcakes afterwards though! Or perhaps half a cupcake?
Tonight's challenge was a very interesting one. Besides the trainers having to compete alongside their teams, the three teams had to bid against each other concerning whose team could get down the hill, grab their flag, and come back up topside in the bid upon time. The team that ultimately wins gets an advantage awarded to them at the upcoming weigh-in but Alison said it won't be revealed until the weigh-in itself. The bidding began and the first round ended with the red team telling the black team to go get their flag! In 5 minutes and 25 seconds or under.
The black team fell short in their mission so they were out. That sucks. I'm a Jillian and black team fan by the way. The bidding then began between the blue and red teams. The red team thinks they can accomplish their mission in 5 minutes and 55 seconds so the blue team tells them to go for it. The red team kicked ass and took names completing it with 18 seconds to spare. The red team has won a major advantage at the weigh-in. Too bad nobody knows what it is yet.
After watching the blue team dine at Subway and their spin class, it's time for an inspiration for all of the teams. They're getting their goal shirts from their team leaders. You know. Those 24 Hour Fitness shirts with their specialized goals for themselves printed on the front. My favorite tonight was 'to become half the man I was and twice the man I can be'. Or something like that. Of course, there was the typical 'to fit into designer jeans' shirt handed out as well.
It's time for their weigh-ins and Alison finally reveals the advantage the red team is going to have. And it's a big one. Regardless of their weight loss, their entire team is immune from losing tonight. Not a single one of them will be going home. That really sucks because their team deserved to lose in the end.
The red team only lost 9 pounds between the four of them. The black team lost a combined 50 pounds between the six of them. The blue team lost a combined 32 pounds between the five of them. Unfortunately, the blue team will have to send somebody home tonight. It won't be Kae though since she was that team's biggest loser having shed 6 pounds this week.
At the elimination ceremony Kae voted for Neil to leave, Patty voted for Nicole to go home, Neil voted for Patty to go, Nicole then votes for Patty to leave, and finally Ryan voted for Patty to return home. Patty is not the biggest loser.
But guess what? Ali tells the remaining blue team members that they really have to go for it this next week because the game is about to change. Then all of a sudden the members from the red and black teams enter the room and Alison fills them in. The campus will be shutting down. No kitchen. No dorm. No gym. To be continued.... Snap!
In Patty's follow-up, she now weighs 219 pounds and is still dropping the lbs. She's continuing to work out and is now wearing her hot and sexy red salsa dress. Since arriving at the campus, she has lost 61 pounds and is continuing on her weight loss journey. Keep on going girl! You're doing a great job.
I can't wait for next week's show. I wonder how they'll do off campus. What did you think about the show tonight?
