Warrior Swap

Day 13 was a day the Survivor castaways are likely never to forget. The Zhan Hu and Fei Long tribes were each given messages delivered via fishermen telling them to choose two warriors from the other tribe they feel would best help to strengthen their own tribe. Each tribe had to circle the names of the two castaways they wanted and then the fishermen would go catch them.

Fei Long chose Frosti and Sherea. Frosti I can sort of understand but why Sherea? They knew she sucked at challenges already. Did they think she was the workhorse at her camp? Did they think she was the brains behind their operation? It just boggles my mind. After receiving their message, Zhan Hu thinks they get to add members instead of trading with the other team. Because of that, they chose James and Aaron and they're just so excited to have more people than Fei Long. However, when the fisherman come back to take Frosti and Sherea to Fei Long it's only then that the brainiac Sherea realizes it's a trade. Poor thing cried herself out probably because she realized she wouldn't be able to lay around just looking pretty all the time.

Over at Fei Long, Jean-Robert is ticked that their two strongest warriors are leaving and they come up with a plan as to which of the n00bs they'll vote out first: Sherea and then Frosti. Both sets of castaways arrived at their new camps with a huge basket of fruit, nuts, and wine. Ahhh, wine. Would somebody pass Courtney the food? That girl needs it severely. Her spine and shoulder blades grossed me out last night.

On Day 14, the Jean-Robert bashing was in full effect at the Fei Long camp. I found it priceless that just the day before Sherea had told them she could cook yet when Jean-Robert brought up her cooking she brought up the stereotype about women always being in the kitchen. Um hello Sherea. They lost their cook. You said you could cook so just do it already. Oh that's right. You're lazy.

Meanwhile, over at Zhan Hu, Aaron was turning on his former Fei Long tribemate James. He'd be an immunity hog later in the game and they need to get rid of him sooner rather than later. Well that's true but I like James so I don't care if he becomes an immunity hog or not. Peih-Gee and Jaime then later discuss throwing the competition so that they can get rid of Aaron and James before the merge. It could be smart and it could be stupid. I guess we'll find out later.

The immunity challenge was an interesting one. There were twelve disks underwater held in place by bamboo poles and two swimmers from each team had to release the disks so that they would float to the surface. Once on the surface, the disks would be brought back to shore and then put together on a puzzle board by the remaining members. Fei Long sat out Amanda and Courtney (good choice).

The teams stayed neck and neck while getting the disks but once they were onshore it was over. Jaime and Peih-Gee (of Zhan Hu) were taking their sweet little time putting the puzzle together which frustrated James who was working with them. No surprise that Fei Long won immunity. Jeffy-poo even told Zhan Hu it was their worst performance yet. Awww.

Back at the Zhan Hu camp on Day 15, James called out Jaime and Peih-Gee for their poor puzzle skills while they basically just laughed in his face. When Jaime and Peih-Gee told Eric that they threw the competition he wasn't thrilled but was still willing to stick with them. They agreed on Aaron going home this week even though James later told Peih-Gee that Aaron deserved to stay.

It was no surprise then at tribal council that Aaron was indeed voted out by a vote of 3-2. Aaron was shocked at this and James was as well. James was expecting to be voted out. I must say though that if Peih-Gee and Jaime's plan works out it would be a very good strategic play for them. Please Survivor gods, just let James stay until the merge. Please!

Next week, the search for the hidden immunity idol gets warmer and the castaways enjoy some of the local cuisine. Yay! Time for icky food challenge!

I think PG and Jaimie throwing the competition was great, except they should have been MUCH more discreet about it. I think that it will hurt them for sure if not now, after the merge. Smart idea, just poorly executed. I'm surprised that James didn't pick up on it earlier that that was what they were doing.

I hope that the plan doesn't work entirely, because I'd love to see PG go instead of James. Even better, I'd like to see Jean-Robert or Courtney go.

PG's strategy is good if, as Jeff says, her assumptions are correct. But, PG, there's many a slip twixt cup and lip, as they say!

I wonder if Fei Long has figured out yet that Zhan Hu threw the comp. Next week could be the longest immunity challenge ever if both teams try to lose.

I liked to see the bond between Denise and James, but the earnest hardworkers never finish first in Survivor.

HD, you questioned Fei Long picking Sherea, but she was actually not bad at the challenges and they didn't know how lazy she was at camp so I do understand their decision.

The producers of survivor should be ashamed of themselves. They rigged the game. If they wanted a fair game they would have given the swapped people one challenge immunity. Now that would have been fair instead they put the best players in a no win situation to get picked off it's disgusting.

Unfair twist. I think it is even more unfair because they had there teams picked for them at the begining. do agree that throwing the challege was probably the best thing to do. It just shouldnt have happened(the twist). Dumb!

Ugh. I don't like PG or Jaime, and even though their plan "worked" last night, I hope it comes back to completely bite them in the collective butt later.

I'm not surprised Fei Long picked Sherea. First of all, it's not like they had great people to pick from. And I thought Sherea had done pretty well in competitions. They, of course, didn't know that she is one lazy dame, though!

Bummed to see Aaron go. I liked him. But YAY that James stayed. I hope he does something spectacular this week that ensures his safety and wipes the smirks off the girls' faces! :)

hi hd!

i have to admit i thought james was going last night. much to my suprise it was aaron. i have mixed feelings about throwing a challenge. i think you should be penalized or something???

i hope james stays around for awhile, i think he is becoming the fan favorite dont you?

I hope James lets the bad boy come out of him. If I were James, I would totally mess up their camp, especially if they throw out the immunity challenge. I would find where they kept their flint and take it to the next challenge. Then, if they threw it, I would throw their flint as far as I could out into the ocean. Then, when I got back to camp, I would fill the fire pit with water. I'd open up any rice they had, and give rats a trail back to camp. I wouldn't do any work for the next three days. Why should he?

Okay, so I am not happy about what happened last night (obviously). What I'd like to see, is for Jean-Robert and James to both find hidden immunity idols next week. This could happen. If the big tribe wins the reward, and kidnaps James, he might give the clues to Jean-Robert. If Jean-Robert knows that James is a sitting duck, he might share the clues with James.

I think that Jean-Robert is getting a bum rap. He sees that their leader and work horse is gone, and he tries to step up to the plate. So his tribe members give him a hard time about it! I'm not sure that he's going to last very long, unless he gets the immunity idol.

Now I've been wondering. Do you think that next week begins the jury?

I wanted to reach right into that TV screen last night and slap that smirk off Jaime's face. Maybe throwing the challenge will prove to be a good move and maybe it won't but I can not stand arrogant people and the way that she reacted to it after doing it was just arrogant. She was so darned proud of herself and just had to brag and brag and I just can not stand people like that... even if it is a game. I think even PG was getting annoyed at her.

Right up until last night I was cheering on Jaime and James but now I'm only cheering on James. I so hope he can find some way to stick around longer than Jaime.

I hated what happened last night. It is one of those Survivor things, the one who should win never does almost, that sucks. The game is never fair but I don't see this as good tv expect that it does have us talking and I guess watching. So maybe it is good tv. I do see a ray of hope though for James. Erik voted out Arron instead of James going against the girls wishes. If they go back to tribal the men and women could have a tie vote. There would be a tie breaker, the tie breakers are almost always something physical, the James could win and hopefully get rid of PG. I know Jamie was the smug one but this was PG's plan so she should pay for it.

What a great episode! As a survivor fan, I enjoyed the twists an unpredictability of the TC, but I must say that jaime's stock has dropped low on my list of likable characters. i am glad that James called them out on their integrity, even if it meant costing him the opportunity to advance. He is truly the BMOC (or BMOS) in my book!
I am saddened by Jaime's smugness, even if throwing the challenge was te best strategic move, you dont tip your hat to the others...that is just plain foolish...as foolish as she was to throw the puzzle piece in plain view of everyone out of the comp-i was soooo glad when probst called her on that shyt!
Alex has also lost stock in my book---such a wuss! He should have stuck with the 2 guys who totally showed fight and integrity in the IC, than with the giggling hens especially after learning that they planned the loss without inviting him to the party! I mean, didnt he feel like he worked hard in the challenge for no reason?? That alone should have been reason enuf to write Jamie's name down! I just hope by next time, he has a chance to redeem his manhood.
And finally, I can think of no finer salute to James than to raise my fist in the air and bow my head 'power to the people' style.
Is it just me, or is the bulge getting bigger with the swagger?

AngieofSC, gotta agree with your take on Alex (but I think you meant to say Eric). My wife was shouting at the TV about Eric voting against the rest of the guys when PG and Jamie never even thought to let him in on the throw-the-comp plan. My conclusion was that Jamie had him wrapped around her little finger. I am afraid that the poor guy is just PW'd -- simple as that. And why was Jamie so damned proud about throwing a comp? She showed more arrogant pride about losing a comp than most people show about winning one.

Karen Hu said:

I am thoroughly disgusted with Jaime and PG throwing the challenge! I do not even see how it could benefit them, anyway.

It's one thing to throw a challenge on a show like Big Brother, where the competitions are usually stupid.

But to do it after Erik and Aaron worked their butts off diving is just too much for me! And then to laugh about it! I have been waiting every week for PG to go, I think she should have gone the first week instead of Chicken.

I agree w/ James about their lack of integrity and not being able to work with them...but now he has to. And to paraphrase Nate Gonzales on REality Remix last night, Erik is basically a wimp for going along with them.

I am so glad James was not voted off, he is my favorite and I hope he wins the darn thing but he probably won't.

benferro said:

Hated, hated, hated that Aaron got voted out with that stupid twist. I really wish they'd have an actual show where the weak ones are the ones who get automatically voted out. People should be evicted at the end of competions. Whomever comes in last place should go. I know, I know, the show is built around the stupid tribal counsels. Whatever. :)

AngieofSC said:

Gray, thanks for the correction...I cant even tell you where I got the Alex from, unless from last season, but they are in no way alike. Does that say much for Erik's memorability? Or does he just look like an Alex to me???

btw, how can Erik be PW'd if he has never had any P? What do you think about that declaration? I think it was strategy...truth or not, there was no need for that disclosure unless you think its gonna eventually get you somewhere, or just plain some. And poor Erik, if he thinks Jaime's a prize. He better get back in gamemode and fast! The other team saw Jaime throw the comp as well..can she and PG be sure that their previous tribe members would respect that type of gameplay at the merge?

gray said:

LOL, AngieofSC.

"btw, how can Erik be PW'd if he has never had any P?"

You gotta be female to even ask that. It is probably easier to let yourself become whipped by a teaser than by somebody who actually cares something about you. At least, that's the way I remember it.

Lori said:

Before tomorrow night's show, I have to say that I didn't like the competition being thrown by PG and Jaime. I can't imagine why anyone would throw a competition, even if you want to get someone off! And I agree, Erik is really a wimp...he should have stood with the other 2 guys when he found out what the girls had done.

But I have a question for you...actually, one of my co-workers thought of this - it would be the ultimate twist in the game. What if there is no merge this year? What do you think would happen then?

I hope James finds the immunity idol! I've liked him from the very beginning and really would like to see him stick around long enough to win!
