Rhythm Is Gonna Get You

Last night's Dancing With the Stars results show was probably one of the best results shows I've ever watched. I loved it start to finish. I realize this sounds weird coming from me but, well, it really was a great show!

After the recaps but before their scoring order going into that night, Len Goodman had something to say to the dancers concerning the lifts Carrie Ann was harping on the night before. He said they (the judges) expect no lifts from now on out. If they do lifts, they will be penalized. Methinks Carrie Ann beat Len into submission after the dance show Monday night.

Their scores and scoring order from the night before: 9th place belonged to Mark & Kym with 22 points; 8th place went to Floyd & Karina with 23 points; three-way tie for 7th place with Jane & Tony, Marie & Jonathan, and Mel & Maks with 26 points; another three-way tie but for 2nd place with Jennie & Derek, Helio & Julianne, and Cameron & Edyta with 27 points, and in 1st place all by their lonesome was Sabrina & Mark with 30 points. Cameron & Edyta were picked by the judges for the encore dance and they did just as an amazing job with their Superman paso doble as they did the prior night.

Gloria Estefan wasn't able to perform as scheduled so one of the house band's backup singers sang 'Rhythm Is Gonna Get You'. (She did a mighty fine job too!) While she was singing there was dancing and the dancing was super hot thanks especially to Maks!

Sabrina & Mark are safe! Cameron & Edyta are safe!

After Wade Robson and his group danced their weird sorta-like Michael Jackson 'Thriller' dance, it was time for Wayne Newton to perform! He sang the always hip 'Danke Schoen' while Cheryl Burke (formerly his partner) and Drew Lachey danced. Oh my! I absolutely loved it.

Did you catch Joan Rivers in that celebrity partners segment? She looked like she's had some more work done recently but it didn't look good. Or maybe she was sick or something? Regardless, her eyes seemed to have been pulled more towards the outside of her face and I could swear there was some cheek implant action going on. The person I thought of while she was onscreen was that cat lady. No more Joan! No more!

Mark & Kym are safe! Floyd & Karina are in the bottom two. Jennie & Derek are safe. Helio & Julianne are safe. Marie & Jonathan are safe. Jane & Tony are safe. Wha? Mel & Maks are in the bottom two? Everybody's stunned.

The awe didn't last long because Tom announced that Floyd & Karina are going home. Floyd seemed really OK with it and will have more time to get ready on his fight on December 8th. I feel bad for Karina though.

Next week, Dancing With the Stars goes Latin with sambas and rumbas galore and Jennifer Lopez will perform. Sounds to me like another great week of DWTS coming up!

I agree I loved DWTS last night, but was sad to see Floyd & Karina leave. Cant wait for next week I like the Latin dances. I hope Helio keeps it up. He looks amazing on the floor. But I guess I have a soft spot for drivers.

Wayne Newton singing Donke Shain, with Cheryl and Drew dancing was the highlight of the season so far!!

It was so interesting, Wayne looked like he had been reborn. Much more comfortable, the Wayne we all know and love (but that did not show up for DTWS)
And CHERYL!! She looked like the old school Cheryl as well, dancing with Drew.
Her dancing came alive, she looked much happier and more free as she danced with Drew (and when she danced with Emmett) then when she danced with Wayne this season.
Maybe she toned it down so as to not outshine Wayne?
I dont know but she was great with Drew last night.
And they did tons of lifts and no one could say a word!

Looks like my multiple voting for Mark and Kym helped.
And it looks like alot of people want them around.
The producers should take note, and guide the judges maybe into scoring more fairly to them. They are def the fan fave, escaping bottom 2 mulitple times despite the judges bottom scores.

I know its bad to say the producers should guide the judges in favor of anyone, but if they do it for horrible people like Dick and Daniele on Big Brother, then why not do it for positive hard working people like Mark and Kym on DTWS, right??

Not surprised at Floyd and Karina.

Kind of surprised at Mel B and Maks. They are good, but I guess most people feel the way I do in that they are good, but forgettable, and they dont vote for them.

I expect them to come back next week with a vengance though. You could tell she was devastated.
