Survivor Night

| | Comments (18)

Ni hao!

Tonight is the night that many of us have been waiting for. Survivor's back!

I am so excited and can't wait. I swear I've watched all of the 'Behind the Scenes' videos on the main Survivor page about a million times already. Really! Well, more like ten times I guess. Really.

I think it's great that they filmed that stuff and let us watch. You get such a different perspective on the locales and what's really going on in the background. I also love watching Jeff Probst doing something other than hosting challenges and tribal council. I wonder if he'd do a celebrity Big Brother? Would he shower in his swim trunks or.... Ahem. I'm getting off topic.

Have you checked out the bios of the survivors or watched their casting videos? Some very interesting people we have this season indeed. Here's a quick list of the survivors this season:

* Jean-Robert Bellande, 36, Professional poker player from Las Vegas, NV
* James Clement, 30, Gravedigger from Lafayette, Louisiana
* Dave Cruser, 37, Former model from Simi Valley, California
* Jaime Dugan, 22, Student from Columbia, South Carolina
* Todd Herzog, 22, Flight attendant from Pleasant Grove, Utah
* Erik Huffman, 26, Musician from Nashville
* Amanda Kimmel, 23, Hiking guide from Los Angeles
* Peih-Gee Law, 29, Jeweler from Marina Del Rey, California
* Sherea Lloyd, 26, Elementary school teacher from Atlanta
* Denise Martin, 40, School lunch lady from Douglas, Massachusetts
* Ashley Massaro, 28, Professional WWE wrestler from East Northport, New York
* Chicken Morris, 47, Chicken farmer from Marion, Virginia
* Leslie Nease, 38, Christian radio talk show host from Tega Cay, South Carolina
* Aaron Reisberger, 32, Surfing instructor from Venice, California
* Courtney Yates, 26, Waitress from New York City
* Michael 'Frosti' Zernow, 20, Parkour athlete/student from Chicago

Any survivors from your area? The one that's closest to me is James - the gravedigger. I still wonder why Frosti's on the show since he's only 20. There must be some reason.

Are you going to be watching Survivor on CBS at 8:00 PM ET/PT tonight? I hope so! Do you have any early favorites? What did you think of the 'Behind the Scenes' videos?

Survivor is my all-time favorite reality show and I can't wait. I read somewhere yesterday that they are talking about another all-star version next, but I am getting ahead of myself.

I checked out the bios, etc. for this edition when they were first posted on cbs.com, but I will go back and have another look today before the show starts. Before the first episode I always try to rank them in the order I think they will be voted off. I am never right, yet I still try!

What happened to the professional poker player on your list? I think his name is Jean-Robert or something like that. I think he'll be one to watch. Although, if I were on a game like survivor, and I knew another contestant was a professional poker player, I would be trying to get him out as soon as possible. On the other hand, he could be a valuable alliance member. We know that people don't always get rid of the most dangerous players when they have the chance. Otherwise, Will never would have survived so long on BB All Stars, or won Season 2. Can't wait for the show to start, even though I'll have to watch it on Innertube. (I have to work).

From HD - Thanks for letting me know I left Jean-Robert out! Whoops! He's listed now.

I've haven't been into Survivor in a long time-I just lost interest...

Kid Nation got a little over 9 million viewers last night (2nd to the Fox comedies by about 500,000 viewers, but it won the hour in the crucial 18-49's). Next week will tell more, because the rest of the new shows will be starting up.

Two survivors are from SC, but I'm not likely to root for either. I haven't decided who I will root for. I have to see them in action first.

I am so excited! Can't wait! There isn't anyone from Texas so I haven't figured out who I will root for. I agree with 'cre8tivewmn' I will have to see them in action first.

How unfortunate that Survivor is up against the Democratic Presidential debate tonight! The ratings for the debates are usually embarassingly low anyways. I hate to say this, but if I didn't have to work tonight, I'd be watching the debate. I can always watch Survivor on innertube.

Im also from SC, but like cre8tivewmn, I probably wont be rooting for them eiter. Im a survivor fan, so my pomspoms will be used to cheer for them all. especially every scene with Probst! I have been a survivor fan since season one! I even have my Thursday rituals that my family is well versed on...sillyreality will now be like 'foreplay'.....lol!

OK HD...I may watch Survivor, at least I have the series ready to tape (thru Direct TV)

I was more eager to watch Survivor till I heard Elisabeth Hasselbeck on THE VIEW say again today she was on Survivor..UGH

Sherea Lloyd lives in Atlanta as do I.

I'm with-holding my favorites until much later. I'll try not to be sooo wrapped up, as I was on BB8.

I have a sense of humor which I hope you and your fans get. I'll try to keep it funny and not so serious. I don't think I'll make it.

Don't call me Jen, but I've noticed the many times I've used words with "I" in them....Sorry

Lets go and have a good time. At least in the begining..

Hi HD,

Making the trek over from silly hampsters. This is interesting for me because Erik and I went to college together at Furman University. We are all really excited for him and hope he does well!

Will there be Survivor chat like we had with Big Brother?! Good times in there! :)

From HD - Not tonight but if people want it then I'll make it.

I forgot to set my DVR to record Survivor. Do you know if it will be shown again before next Thursday? Thanks HD!

From HD - You can watch the show on CBS' video site Innertube. Tonight's show should be up around midnight tonight on East Coast time at the earliest. You can watch it all season long if you like there.
